It’s been a long time coming. After years of waiting to be back in person at Cisco Live, our team finally made it to Vegas along with thousands of our peers and it never felt better! Last week, our team spent time doing what we love most – helping organizations with their network automation initiatives.
While it was a nonstop week, it was incredibly rewarding and invigorating to connect with everyone in the networking community and have some awesome discussions around network automation adoption. Best of all, it was the perfect moment to demonstrate how network teams can successfully scale their network automation initiatives at an enterprise level and what better way to do that than at Tech Field Day Extra at Cisco Live!
In case you missed any of the exciting week, here is a quick recap:
Tech Field Day Extra @ Cisco Live
This year, we teamed up with our tech partner and fellow Gartner Cool Vendor, IP Fabric, to showcase how our platforms integrate to provide a powerful solution that enables network teams to rapidly build network automations and execute them with confidence and assurance.
Our session sparked a lively conversation with the delegates about the power of our API-first approach to automation and our teams demoed step-by-step how Itential helps deliver network automation at scale with our unique approach to integration.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the full presentation:
Scaling Network Automation with Itential
Up first, Itential’s CTO, Chris Wade, and Head of Solutions Engineering, Karan Munalingal took the stage to showcase how enterprise network teams can simplify and scale their automation initiatives with Itential. It’s no secret that modern networks have become complex heterogeneous environments, consisting of multiple vendors and managed by multiple teams and tools. This can pose significant obstacles to teams trying to upkeep and scale network operations and as a result they need the right automation tools to help them.
Chris and Karan discussed and demoed Itential enables teams to quickly onboard existing CLI and script automations, incorporate them into automation workflows across all networks, and easily integrate with any IT system such as ticketing and notification for end-to-end network automation. They even got asked a few great questions along the way you can hear in the full session.
Integrated Network Automation + Assurance Demo with Itential & IP Fabric
To end the presentation, Karan shared the stage with Itential’s good friend and IP Fabric’s Product Evangelist, Daren Fullwell to showcase how Itential integrates with IP Fabric for accelerated network automation and assurance. So, how does it work?
With IP Fabric providing the network source of truth, the view of the network as it really is, and providing a measure of how closely its configuration, topology, state, and policy meets the intent we have for it, and the Itential Automation Platform facilitating the rapid design and deployment of integrated automation workflows across all your networks – our technologies, when combined, enable network teams to create automations that integrate with IT systems and sources of truth to streamline network change management, verify those changes to lead to the desired outcome, and automate the changes to the network. That makes for a pretty powerful duo. Check out the joint demo to see it for yourself.
As always, Cisco Live and Tech Field Day Extra was a great experience that provided insightful conversations with industry veterans about the importance of network automation. You catch watch all sessions on-demand here and be to look out for future NFD appearances.
If you’re ready to further your organization’s automations initiatives or simply embark on the journey, we’re here to help. You can schedule a demo with one of our experts or create your free account of the Itential Automation Platform.
