Recently, Itential participated in another great Open Networking User Group (ONUG) digital event to help further drive innovation in enterprise networking. While ONUG Spring 2021 may have been held digitally again, we still found incredible value in connecting with likeminded enterprise leaders across the many sessions and conversations that were had. Over the course of the event, Itential had a jam-packed agenda featuring numerous sessions all aimed at helping enterprises solve the challenges they’re facing in today’s modern network management.

Check out Itential’s ONUG sessions on-demand:

S&P Global Achieves Same Delivery of Network Services with Itential

During the Midday Keynote, Guruprasad Ramamoorthy, VP of Network Architecture at S&P Global joined Itential’s CTO, Chris Wade onstage to share his story of how S&P Global was able to achieve same delivery of network services through automation. During this discussion, Guru shared incredible insight into the challenges modern enterprises are facing with managing and maintaining networks infrastructure and how automation is the only way to keep pace.

In this video, Guru discusses how S&P Global’s Digital Network Services team developed an automation strategy using the Itential Automation Platform to automate and orchestrate both traditional and emerging network technologies and provide self-service capabilities in order to significantly improve agility, velocity, and to better align network services and capabilities with business objectives. Watch this keynote to learn more about how our teams worked together to find quick wins through API and catalog-driven services that drove significant business value such as reducing firewall configs from day to minutes and firewall rules from mins to seconds.

Closing the Loop on Automation: Itential + Forward Networks

During the event, Itential announced our full integration with Forward Networks to provide closed-loop automation. During this Open Session, Itential’s Senior Solution Architect, Mike Elrom, and Forward Networks Director of Technical Marketing, Fabrizio Maccioni discussed the benefits of organizations combining automation with visualization and predictive capabilities to automate complex, business-critical changes within hybrid, multi-cloud networks. They also demo this technology integration that assures network operators that any changes made in the network had the intended effect and that no unexpected behaviors were introduced when automating network changes.

Solving the Challenges of Automating Network Compliance Across Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Networks

Compliance is crucial, but has become difficult to maintain in modern, API-driven networks. That’s why Itential’s Senior Technical Marketing Engineer, Rich Martin, spent this Academy Session taking a deep dive into the difficulties that are often encountered with achieving compliance in traditional networks, and the additional challenges with establishing compliance in an environment where networking has expanded into multiple clouds and cloud-based services. Watch this session to see a demo of how Itential can combine network automation with configuration, remediation, and validation to solve these challenges and deliver compliance across both traditional, CLI-based and modern, API-based network infrastructure.

Delivering Rapid Time to Value Using Modular Automation Frameworks with Itential

To respond to business requirements, enterprises must have a solution that supports automation across both network and cloud infrastructure and allows for rapid development of end-to-end integration and automation that can be delivered via self-service capabilities across varying roles and teams. In this Proof of Concept session, Rich Martin dives into how enterprise organizations leverage the Itential Automation Platform to accelerate the creation of new automations in a low-code environment through a modular, end-to-end framework.

We found a lot of value in this year’s event and hope that our sessions were able to provide value to you and your organization’s automation goals. If you’re looking to get started with network automation, save your seat for our upcoming live webinar, “Introduction to the Itential Network Automation Platform” to get a demo of Itential’s key capabilities that drive rapid adoption across enterprise networks or if you’re ready to get started now, you can register for a free 30 day trial.
