We’re thrilled to roll out torero 1.3, now live at torero.dev. This release doubles down on making network automation secure, scalable, and dead simple to deploy—whether you’re managing a single cluster or standardizing across your organization.

Since day one, torero has been about breaking down barriers to automation. The initial release nailed the core execution engine, version 1.1 brought distributed clusters, and now 1.3 tackles two big asks: tighter security controls and faster setup.

Here’s what’s new.

>_ what’s new in torero 1.3

🔒 Private Registry Support for Ansible & PyPi

Security isn’t optional—especially in regulated environments where public repositories like PyPi or Ansible Galaxy are off-limits. With torero 1.3, you’re in the driver’s seat. The new registry in torero 1.3 allows for seamless installation of modules and packages from restricted sources. This ensures better control over dependencies while keeping proprietary code secure.

📥 Import Services from a Git Repository

Portability and repeatability can be a hassle. Ever wished you could completely replicate your automation scaffolding when and where you want? With torero 1.3, you can populate a fresh install of torero with an export of your services from a single file hosted in version control. Think of it as automation for your automation tool. Whether you are onboarding a new team or rebuilding in a pinch, torero has you covered. Talk about removing mountains of manual work!

>_ why it matters

torero 1.3 isn’t just a feature drop—it’s a step toward fitting into your world, not the other way around. Private repositories tackle the security and compliance headaches holding back adoption, while enhanced functionality to import services, slashes deployment time from hours to minutes. Together, they make torero a no-brainer for organizations serious about scalable, secure network automation.

>_ try torero 1.3 today

If you haven’t yet had a chance to try torero, I encourage you to visit torero.dev and download it. As always, torero is completely free to use in your infrastructure. Check out the release notes for a full breakdown.
